Landscape
Plant Studies
A two part exhibition of eight works –photographs of landscapes and plant studies exploring the technique of transposing photographs into overlaid, elongated compositions. The binding element is simply that of nature, found and created, then recreated.
The abstract plant studies which were shot in Penny’s studio are almost like illustrations, curly and flowing, often in a state of unruly tangle.
The landscapes are wistful studies taken at dawn, the sacred moment before the Sun rises. The mist, nature’s ultimate filter.
These were taken in rural NSW – Hargraves and Stroud.
